The company Gant, with the spelling GANT, is a Swedish fashion company with American roots owned by the Swiss trading group Maus Frères Holding. The company, which was found in 1949 by Bernard Gantmacher, initially had its corporate headquarters located in New Haven. The American parent company GANT U.S.A. was bought in 1999 by its Swedish partner company.
