The first one is black varnish with faceted glasses and the second is yew wood (model number 1277-46-01) with faceted glasses. The price for both versions is the same. Consequently, the customer is free to choose the colours he prefers

The Kieninger table clock 1277-96-01 is also called Tourbillon Panoramika fireplace clock, because the facet glazing around the housing allows a clear view of the special Tourbillon clockwork. This is a real pleasure for watch enthusiasts. There are two swinging doors built into the housing and both hands are perfectly legible and silhouetted against the radial clock face. This model’s maximal accuracy is achieved by a technical masterpiece, which includes the balance wheel, pallet assembly and escape wheel.
The model impresses with the housing’s open design with a view of all components. It deliberately works without striking mechanism. The clock has a special charisma and enhances any room. The elaborate varnish creates a smooth and shining coat of lacquer with high opacity, which lends the clock a valuable appearance. The aim of sanded varnish is to gain a very homogeneous, opaque, smooth and slightly shimmering solid surface by applying several layers. As seen on this model, the result is a special mirror finish with light reflexes and an exclusive product. In addition, its durability cannot be achieved by another procedure.
