Atlanta Smartwatches – Proper Use

Our Atlanta Smartwatches

This general article is intended to help our customers use the Atlanta smartwatches correctly. A smartwatch, and often a digital watch as well, is equipped with complex technology and therefore requires some instructions for proper use. You will also find a few tips to keep in mind.

Please note:

The battery

  • The charging contacts on the back of the case may be dirty from sweat or grease. The contacts can be cleaned with a toothpick, paper clip, etc. This should be done regularly
  • A standard mobile phone power adapter is suitable as a charger. A notebook USB port is not suitable as a charger due to its design!
  • For testing, charging should take longer (5 hours)
  • A defective battery is indicated when no battery symbol briefly appears and the LED does not light up briefly after the charging cable is connected. If both are present, the battery is not defective

The display

  • Check whether the smartband is sufficiently charged, and charge it
  • The smartband switches off when discharged. After charging, it must be switched on manually again.
  • During development of the smartband, a balance had to be found between power consumption and readability. A brightness level was chosen that is easy to read in normal lighting conditions while also having minimal power consumption

Blood pressure measurement

  • The smartband performs an optical light measurement of blood pressure. This is unusual and therefore not comparable to conventional cuff-based measuring devices. Under no circumstances should the smartband be mistaken for a replacement for a medical measuring device
  • Clean the sensor on the underside of the case with a cloth
  • Tighten the strap slightly so that there is optimal skin contact
  • Make sure you are sitting upright and relaxed with your arm slightly raised

Sleep function

  • The sleep function activates automatically when the following factors are present at the same time: low pulse, lack of movement, nighttime
  • If just one of the fitness factors is missing, the watch will not switch to sleep mode or will interrupt it. If you have trouble falling asleep, an abnormally high pulse, etc., the sleep mode may be disrupted

Bluetooth connection

  • Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your smartphone
  • The connection must always be made from within the app, not via the smartphone's Bluetooth search function
  • If the device appears in the smartphone's Bluetooth list, this entry must be deleted completely
  • Now turn off Bluetooth on the smartphone and connect the device again via the app; the app starts Bluetooth automatically
  • Restart the smartphone and begin the connection process again
  • The distance between the smartphone and smartwatch should not be more than 0.5 meters
