Boss 1502419 in Summery Pink!
Our Watch of the Week this week is a very spring-like BOSS women's watch. It stands out in a pastel pink tone. Almost as beautiful as lovely pink tulips!
The Color Pink
Pink or rosy red is a light bluish-red body color, a mixed color made up of a lot of white and bluish-red. The Duden describes it as: a very pale red, the color of wild roses, and gives as synonyms: pale red, flesh-colored, pink, rosy, rose-colored, rosy red, rose, rosy, reddish, piggy pink, light pink and, in art history, otherwise archaic: incarnate.
Pink looks gentle and soft, which is why it has generally been associated with femininity since the 1920s. Before that, pink was considered a masculine baby color. Red carries associations of passion, blood, active eros, and fighting.
Pink for Tulips and Wristwatches
Tulips (Tulipa) belong to the lily family and are by far the largest and most diverse genus of bulb flowers. There are about 150 species, native to Central and Southern Europe, North Africa, and the Near East to Central Asia. The only species native to our region is the vineyard tulip (Tulipa sylvestris). It originally comes from Southern Europe, but was naturalized here nearly 500 years ago.
The first wild tulips from Asia Minor also reached Central Europe about 500 years ago as tulip bulbs. Especially in the Netherlands, these graceful bulb flowers were highly sought after by wealthy citizens and aristocrats. While tulip bulb trading initially dominated, a lucrative trade in these small treasures became established after 1600. Prices soared rapidly due to the great demand, which increasingly also came from the lower social classes.
The Boss 1502419
The Boss 1502419 is one of the few women's watches from Hugo Boss, but all the more beautiful for it. That is exactly why it has become our Watch of the Week this time. It has a pink leather strap that fits snugly around a silver stainless steel case. The dial is also silver, but features a rose gold-tone baton index. In addition, there are chronograph subdials on the women's wristwatch dial. A small crystal also serves as the 12 o'clock index.
