By now there are 13 model series and over 130 versions of the models. All fitted with durable cases made of marine-grade stainless steel. Helium valve and depth gauge technology, as well as diving resistance up to 200 bar and watch crystals made of virtually indestructible sapphire crystal with a hardness of 9 (diamonds have 10) are standard.
The Shark Proof watches were also tested. This test was carried out under special conditions by divers. It involves a shark bite test that the watches must withstand. So the SHARK PROOF distinction for Chris Benz watches simply means "tested by a shark".
Chris Benz CB-1000A – Shark Proof diving watch
A history like this is definitely worthy of the Chris Benz CB-1000A from the Chris Benz Deep series having made it into the Watch of the Week category. The watch is water-resistant to 100 bar and equipped with a helium valve. The bezel moves with ease and the wearing comfort of the watch is unique. Compared with other models from other manufacturers, this watch, at a retail price of €380, is a very affordable diving watch when you consider all the special features this model has to offer. Of course, opinions may differ about the look of a watch. But there are still plenty of other Chris Benz diving watches that could be considered as alternatives.
By the way, the same model is available in four versions. Slightly more expensive with a metal bracelet (CB-1000A-S-MB) and, instead of a black strap, with an orange strap (CB-1000A-S-KBO) at the same price.
