The eco-friendly technology used in Citizen watches harnesses natural energy sources to power them. The Eco-Drive drive innovation can convert and store both sunlight and artificial light as energy. Thanks to highly sensitive photo cells, even the light of a candle is enough to store energy. This eliminates the need to change the battery and the associated follow-up costs. With the help of the power reserve in darkness, the watches can also survive longer periods without exposure to light. They also have an energy-saving function that switches on automatically in poor light or darkness. In energy-saving mode, the hands stop, but the movement continues running in the background. In this way, up to 80 % energy can be saved. The Eco-Drive function makes Citizen watches particularly reliable and eco-friendly companions.
Promaster series
Citizen Promaster watches are available in the Sky (pilot watches), Land (sports watches), and Sea (diving watches) variations. All variations are characterized by high-quality materials, bold design, and, above all, many useful special functions.

Super Titanium
Also noteworthy is the use of Super Titanium. The collection of the same name includes very robust Citizen watches that look very elegant despite their striking appearance. Super Titanium is 40% lighter and 5 times harder than steel. The material gets this quality from its unique combination of very light titanium and an ion plating. The surface of Citizen's Super Titanium watches is therefore extremely scratch-resistant and hard; at the same time, however, it is also very comfortable and lightweight to wear thanks to the light material. The Super Titanium watches are also nickel-free and therefore ideal for allergy sufferers.
