Cute Atlanta 6025 Kitchen Clock

Our clock of the week is the Atlanta 6025 kitchen radio-controlled clock. The wall clock is distinguished by its special shape, because it is shaped like a teapot. In this article, learn more about the little pot and, of course, about our clock of the week, the Atlanta 6025 kitchen clock.

The Teapot

The teapot is a bulbous, and less commonly cylindrical, vessel made of silver, brass, copper, iron, stoneware, porcelain, or glass, in which tea can be prepared, kept warm, transported, and served. A teapot differs from a coffee pot in three special ways:
  • It is about as wide as it is tall, or even wider than it is tall. This allows the colorings and aromas that escape from the steeped tea leaves and tend to remain at the bottom to distribute more evenly throughout the water than in a slim pot.
  • The spout of the teapot is much lower, often attached right at the bottom of the pot body, so that the colorings and aromas concentrated in the lower part of the pot can be poured into the cup first. (In the coffee pot, the spout is attached at the top so that any coffee grounds do not end up in the cup.)
  • There is usually a built-in device that holds back the steeped tea leaves when pouring. This can be sieve holes in the transition from the pot body to the spout, or a conical filter insert that is hung into the pot from above and extends down to the bottom of the pot.

Our clock of the week, Atlanta 6025

Our Atlanta 6025 is a kitchen wall clock and consists of a white ceramic case with violet decorations. What makes the clock special is its shape, because it is shaped like a small teapot. In the middle of the ceramic clock, the dial is placed centrally. It is white with black hands and black Arabic numerals and bar indices. The violet decorations around the little pot depict lavender. Thanks to its radio-controlled movement, the clock is also a radio-controlled wall clock.
