The Tour de France
The Tour de France is the most famous and for the riders the world's most prestigious cycling race. Since 1903, it has been held every year in July, following a route that changes from year to year across France and nearby foreign countries. Even in the early days of the race, the French national borders were crossed during individual stages. The first time this happened was in 1906, when the Tour passed through Lorraine and Alsace. This year, the Tour de France is taking place in Düsseldorf. Since 1969, the Tour de France has been contested by professional teams run or sponsored by companies for advertising purposes, as was also the case in the early days of the race. From 1930 to 1961, and then again in 1967 and 1968, national teams competed instead. The renowned Spanish watch brand Festina presents the new edition of the legendary Chrono Bike Collection. Every year for the Tour de France, they release matching watch models in their own collection. The design of the chronographs was inspired by the world of cycling, where the brand spent more than 25 years at the forefront. Several parallels can be drawn between the design features and characteristics of a bicycle. For example, the pushers look like the brake pads of a mountain bike, the case back resembles a brake disc, the screws on the bezel look like wheel hubs, and the steel bracelet is reminiscent of the links of a bicycle chain.

This year's collection includes 9 stainless steel models with a 44 mm case diameter and mineral glass. All models come with an interchangeable PU strap. Here you will also find the 2016 Chrono Bike collection. For those who love a touch of exclusivity, the 2017 Chrono Bike line offers a Special Edition with sophisticated finishing, such as sapphire glass and a black and copper-colored IP coating. In addition, this exclusive model is presented in its own special packaging and also includes an interchangeable strap with the matching strap-changing tool. As an example, we are showing you the 20329_X, which will be available soon at Uhren4you.de. It consists of a black stainless steel link bracelet and a black rose-gold-colored stainless steel case. The dial is also black, while the chronographs, baton hour markers, and hands are in white rose gold. The watch features a stopwatch function as well as a date display and 24-hour display.
