Fresh, modern wall clocks for the start of spring

It's that time again - the annual spring cleaning is coming up. Spring is the best time of year to thoroughly declutter and clean your home. Every year, half of Germans do a big clean, and that's a good thing. Because with the first rays of sunshine, unfortunately the dust from the past few months also comes to light. If you're already turning your home upside down, it's even more fun to sort out a few things and redecorate a little. How about fresh spring colours and modern designs? We'll show you some wall clock examples that could help.

Where does "spring cleaning" come from?

Spring cleaning is not an invention of the cleaning products industry, because people in ancient Rome were already seized by an annual cleaning craze. The word February comes from "februare", which means to clean in Latin. So the Romans probably used February for an annual thorough cleaning. And in ancient Persia too, people cleaned the house for "Nowruz", the New Year festival. This celebration took place on the equinox, at the beginning of astronomical spring between 19 and 21 March. So spring cleaning has a long tradition.

Our wall clocks in fresh colours and designs

AMS 5508 wall clock

A simple wall clock without a lot of frills, with a white dial and black Arabic numerals. The special feature here is the metal case, which shines in a fresh turquoise.

Nextime 3237KL wall clock

The Nextime wall clock really brings colour into your living space. The clock is black, but the large Roman numerals are arranged in rainbow colours, making it a colourful eye-catcher.

Sompex 8138 wall clock

This Sompex 8138 doesn't shine in a spring colour, but it does feature a special design. The white wall clock has a wooden case that could represent a flower or the sun thanks to the perforated dial.

Nextime 5207TQ table clock

A table clock can also adapt to the new season. The swinging wooden table clock from Nextime appears in a colour that looks moss green to turquoise.

Dixtime 5098 wall clock

This Dixtime wall clock is also somewhat unusual. The round clock has several orange circles on the white dial, arranged in such a way that they could also represent an abstract sun.

Sompex 8064 wall clock

Butterflies, too, are simply part of spring. So we find them on the white dial of the Sompex 8064 as well. They are set against a delicate blue background, creating a wonderful spring atmosphere.

Karlsson KA5666PI alarm clock

A small Karlsson alarm clock shining in the trend colour of 2019: a delicate powder pink! The concrete alarm clock, in the shape of a hexagon, is tinted in this pink shade from the case to the dial. As are the raised Arabic numerals. A real spring eye-catcher.

Lowell W7647 children's clock

A children's wall clock can also convey spring feelings. The cute Lowell clock has a colourful decorative dial with a wood-look finish and shows butterflies, flowers, and birds. The Arabic numerals are pink and black.

AMS 7286 cuckoo clock

Last but not least, a cuckoo clock and pendulum clock from AMS. It is a modern wall clock with a white wooden case. On it are a grey tree and black Arabic numerals. The hands, as well as the pendulum and the bird, are red.
