Gold Jewelry and Wristwatches
Gold-colored watches and jewelry, as well as solid gold, have been very popular for a long time and can therefore be considered timeless. In earlier times, solid gold was found in nature in metallic form because of its strikingly shiny yellow color. It can be worked very well mechanically and does not corrode. Because of the durability of its shine, its rarity, its apparent imperishability, and its striking weight, it has been used in many cultures especially for prominent ritual objects and jewelry. The majority of the gold mined is used in the jewelry industry. Goldsmiths process gold and other precious metals into rings, chains, bracelets, and other jewelry. The precious metal content is certified by the hallmark. In 1848, Tiffany first made gold jewelry itself. However, since solid gold is traded at a very high price, more and more watch and jewelry manufacturers are turning to stainless steel with a gold alloy and simply coloring it gold. This means everyone can afford stylish and timeless jewelry for little money, without having to spend a fortune.
Our Seiko SRPE74K1
The watch of the week, the Seiko SRPE74K1, consists of a gold-colored stainless steel link bracelet and case. It has a gold-colored, one-way rotating bezel with Arabic numerals, as well as a transparent screw-down case back. The dial is also gold-colored with a white dot index, which can glow in the dark thanks to LumiBrite. The wristwatch can display the date and day of the week, in addition to the hour, minute, and second. The dial is protected by a robust Hardlex crystal. The movement is mechanical and has an automatic winding mechanism, although manual winding is also possible. The automatic watch has a 4R36 caliber with a power reserve of 41 hours and 24 jewels. The men's watch is water-resistant to 10 bar and comes from the Seiko 5 Sports series.
