The Liha Tradition
In just a short time, the Liha watches tradition will be 100 years old. In 1918, Johann Liebhaber founded the watchmaking business. By the 1930s, he was already selling his models across Europe, India, China, Africa, and South America. In 1928, Max Liebhaber was born as one of five children. Later, he restructured the company to focus on promotional products. But he remained loyal to watches and developed church clocks, with part of the proceeds donated to the renovation of the respective church. Today, the company is run by the third generation and is once again increasingly focused on manufacturing high-quality mechanical watches. Particular emphasis was placed on reviving the design of earlier models and adapting it to today’s trends. The case was made from 585 gold. This alloy is also especially scratch-resistant, making the Liha watch a timepiece suitable for everyday wear. By the way, the gold used is ethically sound. Liha watches are “Made in Germany”. Only the movement (ETA 2824-2) comes from the Swiss movement giant ETA and is one of the most popular and durable in its class. Small details such as the moon phase appliqués at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock positions make the watch something very special, as does the L engraved on the crown. The motto of Liha watches has always been to do good as well. That is why part of the proceeds from every watch sold is donated to the Max Liebhaber Foundation, which primarily supports projects for children. The Liha Anthrazit/Bordeaux has a red leather strap and an anthracite-colored dial. The Liha Anthrazit/Sand, on the other hand, has a sand-colored leather strap and an anthracite-colored dial. Both have a gold-colored case made of 585 gold and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The dial also features gold-colored baton indices and hands. A small date display is also visible.
