3. Setting the time and alarm function
3.1 Radio-controlled time
After inserting the batteries, the clock automatically searches for the DCF signal.
The radio signal symbol "
" (A4) flashes on the LCD display.
flashes (i.e. DCF signal is being received)
appears (i.e. DCF signal has been received)
disappears (i.e. no signal reception)
In order to display the current time precisely, the clock automatically synchronizes daily with the DCF signal at 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. If this fails, the radio signal symbol "
" disappears from the LCD display and the clock attempts to synchronize again at 4:00 and 5:00 a.m. Manual reception of the radio signal can also be initiated by pressing and holding the "▼/Sec" button (B2). Each reception takes a few minutes. If synchronization is not possible, the radio signal symbol "
" disappears. Radio signal reception can be stopped by pressing and holding the "▼/Sec" (B2).
3.2 Manual settings
The following settings can be made manually: radio-controlled time on/off, time zone, hour, minute, year, date display format, month, day of the week, language, °C/°F (temperature display). To make these settings, press the "MODE/SET" button (B1) for 3 seconds. The values are set using the "▲" (B3) or "▼" (B2) button. The selected values are confirmed each time with the "MODE/SET" button (B1). Days of the week can be displayed in 8 different languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, and Czech).
3.3 Snooze and alarm function
Press the "MODE/SET" button (B1) to set the alarm function. "ALARM TIME" appears on the LCD display. By pressing it again, the alarm time can be adjusted using the "▲" (B3) or "▼" (B2) buttons. The setting must be confirmed with the "MODE/SET" button (B1).
The alarm function is activated by pressing the "AL ON/OFF" button (B4). The symbol "
" appears on the display. Pressing the "AL ON/OFF" button (B4) again deactivates the alarm function and the symbol "
" disappears again. The regularity of the alarm function can be set using the "ALARM MODE" switch (B5). You can choose between the following options: Monday to Sunday, Monday to Saturday, or Monday to Friday.
Pressing the "SNOOZE" button (B6) causes the symbol "
" to flash on the display and the alarm tone stops for approx. 4 minutes. The alarm tone then starts again. In this way, the alarm tone can be paused up to 8 times. Pressing any button except the "SNOOZE" button switches off the tone. If this does not happen, it sounds for about 2 minutes and then stops automatically.
4. Thermometer
The temperature measurement range is from -9.9°C to +50°C. If the temperature is outside this range, LL.L (below the minimum temperature) or HH.H (above the maximum temperature) is shown on the display.
5. Additional notes
- As soon as the batteries are removed, the clock loses the stored settings
- The clock should not be exposed to direct sunlight, excessive heat or cold, high humidity, or moisture
- Clean only with a dry cotton cloth
