Different versions of JVD wall clocks

Beech wood

Beech wood refers to the wood of various species of beech trees (genus Fagus) that are used as timber. In Europe, this is primarily European beech, which is used for various applications, especially in construction and furniture making. European beech is by far the most common deciduous tree species in Germany and parts of Western and Central Europe. The main area of use for beech wood is furniture production, where it is used both as solid wood and as plywood and molded plywood. It is used to create hard and durable surfaces for heavily used furniture, especially children's and youth furniture, office furniture, and seating. We present the JVD N1200268 made of fine beech wood. A 58 cm tall wall clock with a silver-colored dial, a matching pendulum, and a curved mineral glass cover.

Walnut wood

The walnut family (Juglandaceae) is a relatively small family of predominantly tree-like woody plants with around 60 species, belonging to the order Fagales. Walnut wood has been considered a fine furniture wood for centuries. It is mainly used to make valuable and elegant furniture. European walnut is found primarily in the warmer regions of Western and Central Europe. The heartwood is matte brown to dark brown, irregularly streaked with darker veins of varying widths. This is the JVD HT075, a 49 cm wall clock that looks very modern despite the classic walnut wood. It is complemented by silver-colored Arabic 3D numerals.

Glass clocks

Glass (from the Germanic glasa, meaning "the shining, shimmering one," also used for "amber") is a collective term for a group of amorphous solids. Most glass consists mainly of silicon dioxide, such as drinking glasses or window glass; these - usually translucent - silicate glasses are by far the most economically significant of all types of glass. Examples made from organic materials include natural amber or many plastics such as acrylic glass. Here too, JVD offers an example: the JVD HT098. This 34.5 cm round wall clock consists of a glass plate with a silver-colored metal overlay to which the black hands are attached. The glass plate also features silver-colored 3D numerals.

Digital clocks

The first digital clocks already existed in the 19th century. A digital clock is a clock that displays the time using numerals. This distinguishes it from an analog clock, which uses hands on a dial to show the time. The method by which time is measured is irrelevant - a digital clock can use analog technology, and an analog clock can use digital technology. JVD also offers these clocks in its wide range. For example, the JVD DH1.3. An 18 cm high and 51.5 cm wide digital clock with a black plastic case and a glass cover. The Arabic numerals are displayed in green.
