Our New Regent Nurse Watches
With the nurse watches, we have introduced a new watch category in our shop. Strictly speaking, however, they are not wristwatches, because they are not worn on the arm or wrist, but rather on workwear. But what exactly that means, you will now learn in this article.
What is a nurse watch?
The nurse watch, also known as a nursing watch, is a watch that is normally used by nursing staff in clinics or assistants in doctors' offices. For hygiene reasons, the nurse watch is not worn on the wrist, but attached to workwear with a short chain. Nurse watches were used mainly in the United Kingdom in the early 20th century and, for hygiene reasons, were fastened as a lapel watch at the top of workwear, e.g. an apron. There are also versions in which the watch is held by a silicone case. This makes it possible to match the color to personal taste or the color of the workwear. In this way it is similar to the pocket watch, but unlike it, it is not carried in the trouser pocket or waistcoat pocket, but often attached freely hanging to clothing by means of a clip. Locally, there is a custom that student nurses are also presented with a nurse watch after their exam. With a personal engraving or different colors, nurses or medical assistants can tell their nurse watches apart from one another.
Our Regent nurse watches
With the introduction of the new category in our shop, you will now find seven nurse watches from the Regent. brand there. All nurse watches consist of a safety pin and a metal chain. Below that is the watch, whose dial is rotated 180 degrees. The watches display the hour, minute, second, and also help measure the pulse. The watches have stainless steel cases and are chrome-plated. They differ only in the color of the chain, case, and dial. The Regent P-27 has a silver-colored chain and case and also features a luminous dial with black Arabic numerals.
