The clock manufacturer Hermle
The Hermle Watches brand stands for high-quality floor clocks, wall clocks, table clocks, and regulators, and has done so since 1922. The clocks are largely handcrafted and refined with interesting technical as well as visual details. These masterpieces enjoy great popularity worldwide and represent time in its most beautiful form. The family business Hermle originated in Gosheim on the Swabian Alb. The region is considered a European hub for machining technology and was once a center of the German clock industry. Even today it is known for its spirit of invention and diligence. The large clocks from the Hermle clock manufactory do not reinvent time, but they certainly give it a distinctive aesthetic.
While the classic floor clocks – inspired by the living rooms of a significant century – bring back the culture and sense of life of past times, Hermle's design floor clocks stand for creativity, purism, and innovation.
Our promotional model Hermle 01079-030451
Our watch of the week is the Hermle 01079-030451 floor clock. It consists of a partially solid walnut wood case, glass, and a gold-colored pendulum. The dial is chrome-colored with a silver-colored chapter ring and black markers. The moon phase is also visible above the dial. The pendulum clock Kensington is a classic floor-standing clock with a lyre pendulum and brass appliqués. The wooden clock has three weights and is crafted in great detail and with considerable effort. In addition to the night shutoff and strike shutoff, this clock strikes the Westminster chime. The movement runs for 8 days and then needs to be wound again. The weights are operated via the chain drive.
