Seiko Watches SUN065P1 Wristwatch

Our watch of the week this time is the men's analog quartz wristwatch "Seiko Watches SUN065P1" from the Prospex series. It is both a dive watch and a kinetic watch, making it a particularly high-quality timepiece. In our shop, it is even available with a voluntary 3-year warranty extension.

A very special kinetic watch

Kinetic watches are characterized by being powered by your own body movement. The kinetic energy is converted into electrical energy. As a result, these wristwatches are more precise than mechanical watches. They run with an +/- 15 seconds accuracy per month. But don't worry, the watch won't stop if you are not moving. If the watch is not moved, energy is drawn from the storage units, ensuring a power reserve of up to 6 months or more. Unlike conventional button-cell batteries, the rechargeable battery does not need to be replaced regularly. If the watch has stopped or if the second hand is running in two-second steps, move the watch back and forth twice per second and it will be working again (quick-start function). As a guideline, 500 oscillations are used to store enough power for 2 days.

The Seiko SUN065P1 wristwatch has a remaining-energy indicator / power reserve indicator, which lets you check the remaining energy level at any time. This makes kinetic watches especially environmentally friendly and durable.

Dive watch

The Seiko SUN065P1 wristwatch is not only a perfect kinetic watch, it is also ideal for diving. With it, you can read the time underwater and measure how long you have been underwater. It is water-resistant to 20 bar, which is approximately 200 meters. To ensure the time can still be read clearly underwater, the robust wristwatch has luminous hands and luminous hour markers. Remember to rinse the watch with fresh water after diving so that seawater, dirt, sand, etc. are completely removed.

The Seiko SUN065P1 wristwatch for men

The Seiko men's watch SUN065P1 has a black silicone strap, which makes wearing the watch especially comfortable. The case back and crown are screwed down for optimal protection. The screw-down crown can be locked when it is not needed. The bezel rotates in one direction, and the scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal provides additional protection against impacts. The white baton and dot markers make the dark blue dial stand out especially well.

The different time zones

The Seiko watch also features a date display and a second time zone display (GMT). If you are in another time zone, you can easily set the watch to display the time in that time zone without stopping it. The time-difference adjustment function is linked to the date display. When the time difference is set correctly, the watch shows the date for the other time zone correctly.

In the following table of time differences, you can read the data for major cities around the world compared with WET (Western European Time).
