Football is today one of the most popular and widely played sports worldwide. According to the world football association, more than 265 million people in over 200 countries played football in 2006. Of these, over 38 million are organized in more than 325,000 clubs worldwide.
Above all, the simple basic rules and the limited equipment needed to play this sport made the game, which has the same rules worldwide, so popular and helped spread it. In Germany alone, six million people are active in more than 27,000 football clubs. In addition, around four million people regularly play football in their free time as so-called hobby players in recreational, company, or bar teams.
Football is a ball sport in which two teams compete with the aim of scoring more goals than the opponent and thus winning the game. The playing time is usually two halves of 45 minutes each, plus stoppage time and, if necessary, extra time. A team usually consists of eleven players, one of whom is the goalkeeper. The ball may be played with the whole body except the arms and hands; primarily, it is kicked with the foot.
An Atlanta alarm clock of a special kind. Footballs decorate the stainless steel case, the dial, and serve as indices. In addition, LED flashing effects and the chant "Olé, Olé" create a certain stadium atmosphere. The Jacques Farel wall clock also features a clearly large football on the children's clock. The rest of the dial also resembles a stopwatch with time running down.
This black Jacques Farel alarm clock has an extra-large 3D illustration on the left of the actual dial showing three football players in black, white, and red. There is also LED lighting on the dial. The small but refined Atlanta children's alarm clock in blue already has several footballs on the plastic case. But the dial is green too and depicts a football field. The alarm clock features special flashing and night-light effects.
The dial of the Atlanta alarm clock sits directly in a football. Below it are black and red football boots. A green football pitch can be seen on the dial. The van Gosen wall clock shows our affiliation with the German national team. It displays the German flag.
