Spider-Man Watch Zeppelin 7294-4
Our watch of the week is the Zeppelin 7294-4 men's watch. It is a very special Zeppelin watch dedicated to the spider-man Alain Robert. If you want to learn more about it and what makes this watch so special, read on in this blog article…
The Zeppelin 7294-4
The Zeppelin 7294-4 is a quartz watch and has a black leather strap with red decorative stitching and a perforated pattern. The stainless steel case is silver-colored and the dial is black. A kind of perforated pattern can also be seen on the dial. It features white Arabic numerals, hands, and chronographs. In the lower chronograph there is an image of a spider with the red inscription "Alain Robert." What this means will be explained in more detail below. A very similar watch is the Zeppelin 7294-4KB, which looks identical but has a rubber strap. Both wristwatches come from the Zeppelin Night Cruise series and are Made in Germany. In addition, both are water-resistant up to 10 bar and have a mineral crystal.
The extreme athlete Alain Robert
The inscription on the men's watch is inspired by the French free climber, who is also known beyond the climbing scene as Spider-Man because of his ascents of numerous buildings without safety gear. Robert has already climbed more than 70 skyscrapers and monuments around the world, including one in Paris, a skyscraper in New York in 1994, and a 508-meter-high skyscraper on December 25, 2004, in four hours. In 1997 and 2007, Robert attempted to climb towers in Kuala Lumpur, but was arrested both times at the 60th floor. Alain Robert does not climb solely for sporting reasons, but also as part of events. His greatest success in this regard was a climb watched by more than 100,000 spectators. Robert wants to continue for as long as his physical condition allows. “I like my lifestyle. I travel around the world, and what I do allows me to live,” said Robert, who is married, has three children, and lives in the southern French city of Pézenas.
