The new Walter Gropius wristwatches

We are introducing a new wristwatch brand in our Uhren4you.de shop! The Walter Gropius wristwatches are inspired by the renowned Bauhaus style. Designer Daniel Eltner developed the collection. In this article, learn more about the Bauhaus style and the Walter Gropius wristwatches, and discover some selected examples.

Walter Gropius and Bauhaus

Architect and Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius was born in Berlin on May 18, 1883. After dropping out of his architecture studies in Munich and Berlin, Gropius became self-employed as an architect and industrial designer and quickly set new standards with his architectural and design style. He revolutionized the approach to art, design, and architecture. As the founder of the Bauhaus movement, he is regarded as a pioneer of modern design. Bauhaus stands for timeless design, minimalism, but above all for experimentation. The design of these watches picks up right there and carries the idea forward. Together with designer Daniel Eltner, we have created a special watch collection that highlights the curious and playful side of Bauhaus. We live in a dictatorship of time, in which the watch has become a status symbol, an investment, and a time and pulse meter. We are running after time The watches are intended to encourage people to consciously perceive time, shape it accordingly, and develop a freer sense of time. They stand for quality and good design at an affordable price. In doing so, we are guided by the Bauhaus social principle — namely, making good design accessible to everyone.
