pendulum clock comes in its original packaging and is meticulously checked by our warehouse team for functionality and possible defects before shipping.
The pendulum for this clock is located inside the box and is secured with adhesive tape.
The clock is powered by standard
AA batteries. 2 are required for operation. One battery for driving the movement and the other for the melody and hourly chime. You can also purchase the batteries

The History of AMS
The Black Forest clock manufacturer AMS looks back on a long and tradition-rich history. AMS clocks have been made in Furtwangen in the Black Forest for more than 160 years.
The clocks stand for aesthetics and quality and meet sophisticated expectations. The range includes both traditional Black Forest handcrafted pieces and modern clocks made from forward-looking materials.
Timeline
1776 - Joseph Mayer trades clocks in Copenhagen and offers repairs. He is closely related to well-known clockmakers such as Joseph Ganter and Benedikt Faller & Mathäus Hummel
1838 – His grandson German Mayer, a trained clockmaker, founds the
German Mayer Company in Reading, England, which is an association of clock dealers.
1841 - On December 14, German's father Andreas Mayer sends several clock parts to Reading. The invoice amounting to 937 guilders and 5 kreuzers is the first written document about the Mayer clockmaking tradition. For this reason, 1841 is considered the founding year.
1900 – In 1900, around 6-8 clockmakers and other assistants work in the clock workshop. The workshop is run by German's son Joseph Mayer.
1906 – Alois Mayer, the eldest son, builds a high-pressure water pipeline and modernizes the family business with lathes, gear cutters, and rolling machines.
1922 – The company is entered in the commercial register as "Alois Mayer, Uhrenfabrik Schönenbach".
1957 - A. Mayer OHG, under the management of the sons Heinrich (born 1927) and Konrad (born 1930), moves into a new two-story factory building in Schönenbach. This allowed production to be increased many times over.
1981 – Founding of AMS-Uhrenfabrik A. Mayer GmbH with Adalbert Mayer (born 1960) joining the group of shareholders. In January 1993, A. Mayer becomes managing director and, together with his father Heinrich, leads the company in the sixth generation.
2001 – A new logistics center is built! A new 1,400-square-meter hall with a high-bay warehouse for finished products was created at the Schönenbach site. The company employs around 20 people and has a production area of 2,500 square meters for case manufacturing, surface finishing, and assembly.
