Wall Clocks as Pocket Watches

Pocket watches stem from a long and old tradition. In the past, they served as a practical everyday companion. They are a type of watch worn on a chain in a trouser or jacket pocket. Women often wore pocket watches on a chain around the neck or at the waist as well. Pocket watches have now largely gone out of fashion and have been replaced by wristwatches. Even so, the watch with a vintage look remains modern. And that is why we are showing you some of our pocket watches as wall clocks:

The different variants

This is a version from the Atlanta brand. It measures 36 cm x 43 cm and has a silver-colored plastic case. The same goes for the small bracket, which is reminiscent of a pocket watch. The dial is white and the numerals are black and Roman. Because the black hands are ornate, the vintage character is reflected. The movement is a silent quartz movement.

This is a wall clock from the manufacturer AMS. It measures 47 cm x 32 cm and is 6 cm deep. It consists of a black metal case with decorative side details in the depth. This creates a certain 3D look. The bracket, which is reminiscent of a pocket watch, is delicate, but somewhat larger. The dial features beige-and-blue striped wooden elements that, with their aged character, are part of the vintage look. The numerals are black and Arabic, and the hands are also black. The movement is a silent quartz movement.

This wall clock comes from the Lowell brand. It measures 32 cm x 41 cm and is 7 cm deep. It has a thick black metal case. However, the small bracket on top of the clock has been kept in silver, where there are some elaborate appliqués. The dial is black and the numerals are white and Roman. The hands, on the other hand, are silver-colored and ornate. The movement is a quartz movement.

These two clocks both come from the Antique Home brand. They both measure 26 cm x 28 cm x 6,5 cm and have a black metal case in an antique look with a small bracket on the clock. One version is finished in cream white with black Arabic numerals, the other in red with cream-white Arabic numerals. Both have black hands.
