Wristwatch examples with different strap materials
Stainless steel Milanese strap
A Milanese strap is connected directly to the case. It is made of stainless steel and is very finely crafted. So it is just as durable as a link bracelet, but finer and more elegant. That means this stainless steel strap can also be combined in a very stylish and elegant way. In the example, we show the Huck 2.0 men's watch from Take A Shot with a silver-colored Milanese strap.d"]
Stainless steel link bracelet
A link bracelet, in any color, is always especially stylish and often suits business looks or evening wear. Stainless steel also does not tarnish, so you can enjoy your watch for longer without much maintenance. In the example, we show a Dugena women's wristwatch with a silver-gold link bracelet.
Leather strap
If a metal strap is too heavy or too rigid, a leather strap is certainly a good alternative. Leather is a natural material and offers very comfortable wear, as it molds to the skin and, unlike metal or plastic straps, is breathable. However, with leather straps and contact with water, you should be careful about discoloration. The example shows a Festina men's watch with a brown leather strap.
Silikon strap
The best recommendation for athletes is a wristwatch with a silicone strap. Silicone is a water-repellent and easy-to-wash material, which is especially beneficial for sports and outdoor watches. Silicone is an extremely durable material, so even with frequent contact with sweat, the strap retains its color and shape. It is also ideal for divers, as it does not suffer under pressure during deep dives. The example shows the Luminox XL.8821.KM with a black silicone strap.
Textile strap
Watches with textile straps have been very trendy in recent years and suit almost any watch. The advantages of a textile strap are obvious: light weight, high flexibility, tear resistance, and a strong style factor. They are also often used for children's watches, as in our example Scout 309.003. The material is soft and comfortable against the skin, and it adapts well to it.
Wooden strap
Wooden wristwatches are also very much on trend, but they are also a matter of taste. They are always unique, because every watch looks different and is made from a different wood. It is a true natural product and a very versatile material. Since wooden straps are usually simple, minimalist, timeless, and practically indestructible, they will be your faithful companion for a long time. The example shows the Holzkern brand with a brown wooden strap.
Plastic strap
Last but not least, there are also plastic straps. These are also fairly easy to care for, but not as durable as a stainless steel or leather strap. Plastic straps are also often used in children's watches, as they are an affordable material. In the example, the Atrium A19-90 was used with a black plastic strap.
