The Casio G-Shock DW-5000R-1AER is a special tribute to the very first G-Shock, combining the iconic original design of the brand with the latest Casio technology. The stainless steel case is a faithful recreation of the original, as is the bio-based resin strap, precisely matched to the predecessor in length, shape, and even the position of the indentations. The bezel revisits the classic face design with distinctive accents in red, blue, and yellow, making the roots of the G-Shock lineage clearly felt.

With a digital display, LED backlight (Super Illuminator), fully automatic calendar through 2099, stopwatch, countdown timer, and multi-function alarm, the DW-5000R-1AER offers extensive everyday functionality. The watch is shock-resistant and water-resistant to 20 bar — a true G-Shock. It is manufactured at the Casio Yamagata plant in Japan. The strap and bezel are made from bio-based resin, contributing to a reduced environmental footprint.

Care Instructions for Wristwatches

Care & Cleaning

  • Daily: Wipe case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and perspiration.
  • Water-resistant watches: Clean with mild soapy water and a soft brush, rinse, dry thoroughly.
    Important: Screw the crown down firmly beforehand!!!
  • Not water-resistant: Clean only dry or slightly damp, do not use water or cleaning agents.
  • Avoid: Harsh chemicals, perfume, cosmetics and heat.
  • Leather straps: Do not soak, clean only slightly damp and allow to dry away from heat.
  • Water resistance: Do not wear while showering or bathing, have tested annually.
  • Battery (quartz): Have a depleted battery replaced immediately.
  • Mechanical watches: Service by a master watchmaker every 5 years.

Storage & Handling

  • Store the watch separately, not directly with other jewellery (risk of scratching).
  • Place mechanical watches down when winding, do not leave the crown pulled out.
