Quaint – Traditional metalwork with a striking surface

Quaint by Shin Azumi is inspired by the dials of historic tower clocks. Fine engravings reveal the brass beneath the colored surface while simultaneously improving the visibility of the time display.

The unique texture is created using traditional coloring techniques from Takaoka in Japan's Toyama Prefecture. Different processes produce black, silver, or greenish patinated surfaces. As a result, Quaint develops a distinct presence, especially on material-focused walls made of concrete or brick.
