Description
The Seiko Prospex SPB383J1 is a premium automatic GMT diver's watch inspired by the legendary Seiko diver's watch of 1968, designed for discerning divers and travellers alike. The black dial with Lumibrite-coated hands and indices ensures outstanding legibility even in low-light conditions underwater. The stainless steel case with Super-Hard Coating and the unidirectional bezel with ceramic insert make this watch exceptionally robust and scratch-resistant.
The SPB383J1 is powered by the newly developed Calibre 6R54, a fully automatic movement with GMT function. The GMT hand can be adjusted independently of the hour and minute hands in one-hour increments, displaying the time in a second time zone at a glance. With a power reserve of 72 hours, this calibre significantly surpasses earlier Seiko movements. The sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial from scratches, while the screw-down crown and screw-down case back ensure water resistance to 200 metres.

- Daily: Wipe case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and perspiration.
- Water-resistant watches: Clean with mild soapy water and a soft brush, rinse, dry thoroughly.
Important: Screw the crown down firmly beforehand!!! - Not water-resistant: Clean only dry or slightly damp, do not use water or cleaning agents.
- Avoid: Harsh chemicals, perfume, cosmetics and heat.
- Leather straps: Do not soak, clean only slightly damp and allow to dry away from heat.
- Water resistance: Do not wear in the shower or bath, have it tested annually.
- Battery (quartz): Have a depleted battery replaced immediately.
- Mechanical watches: Service by a master watchmaker every 5 years.
Storage & Handling
- Store the watch separately, not in direct contact with other jewellery (risk of scratching).
- Place mechanical watches on a flat surface when winding, do not leave the crown pulled out.
