The Seiko Prospex 1968 Heritage Diver's GMT SPB519 is the purposeful evolution of a diving watch classic rooted in 1968. The 42 mm stainless steel case with Superhard coating combines alternating polished and brushed surfaces, and carries the characteristically broad shoulders of the Prospex diver's line. At its heart beats the in-house automatic calibre 6R54 — Seiko's first mechanical GMT movement for a dive watch — delivering a power reserve of approximately 72 hours.

The silvery-white dial paired with a blue ceramic bezel gives the watch a fresh, maritime character. Lumibrite luminous material on the hands and indices ensures maximum legibility even in low-light conditions underwater. The GMT function enables simultaneous display of a second time zone, while the date window rounds out the feature set. The three-link stainless steel bracelet with Superhard coating and a newly developed micro-adjust clasp sits securely and comfortably on the wrist. With water resistance to 300 metres, the SPB519 is fully dive-capable and approved for scuba diving.

Care Instructions for Wristwatches

Care & Cleaning

• Daily: Wipe case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and perspiration.
• Water-resistant watches: Clean with mild soapy water and a soft brush, rinse, dry thoroughly.
  Important: Screw the crown down firmly beforehand!!!
• Not water-resistant: Clean only dry or slightly damp, do not use water or cleaning agents.
• Avoid: Harsh chemicals, perfume, cosmetics and heat.
• Leather straps: Do not soak, clean only slightly damp and allow to dry away from heat.
• Water resistance: Do not wear in the shower or bath, have it tested annually.
• Battery (quartz): Have a depleted battery replaced immediately.
• Mechanical watches: Service by a master watchmaker every 5 years.

Storage & Handling

• Store the watch separately, not in direct contact with other jewellery (risk of scratching).
• Place mechanical watches on a flat surface when winding, do not leave the crown pulled out.
