The Sternglas Tachymeter 2.0 is the largest timepiece the Hamburg-based brand has produced to date, combining motorsport precision with a clean Bauhaus aesthetic. The 44 mm case in polished and brushed 316L stainless steel features a blue aluminium tachymeter bezel that instantly identifies the watch as a sport chronograph. The double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides ensures crystal-clear legibility in all lighting conditions.

At its heart beats the Seiko Meca-Quartz VK63, a fusion of quartz precision and the feel of a mechanical chronograph: the tactile pushers operate just like a classic mechanical stopwatch movement, while the quartz movement guarantees exceptional timekeeping accuracy. The dark blue dial in a tri-compax sector layout is equipped with Luminova and complemented by silver and yellow hands. The blue rubber strap with a 20 mm lug width harmonises perfectly with the dial in both colour and comfort. With a water resistance of 10 bar, the Tachymeter 2.0 is suitable for swimming and snorkelling.

Care & Cleaning

• Daily: Wipe case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and perspiration.
• Water-resistant watches: Clean with mild soapy water and a soft brush, rinse, dry thoroughly.
  Important: Screw the crown down firmly beforehand!!!
• Not water-resistant: Clean only dry or slightly damp, do not use water or cleaning agents.
• Avoid: Harsh chemicals, perfume, cosmetics and heat.
• Leather straps: Do not soak, clean only slightly damp and allow to dry away from heat.
• Water resistance: Do not wear in the shower or bath, have it tested annually.
• Battery (quartz): Have a depleted battery replaced immediately.
• Mechanical watches: Service by a master watchmaker every 5 years.

Storage & Handling

• Store the watch separately, not in direct contact with other jewellery (risk of scratching).
• Place mechanical watches on a flat surface when winding, do not leave the crown pulled out.
