    Mechanical watches - the classics of the watch world

    The birth of the mechanical watch was already in the Middle Ages. Since then, mechanical watches have been continuously developed and are still very popular today.

    Of course, today's models work much more precisely than medieval clocks, but even then it was an incredible technical achievement to connect the small-scale watch components in such a way that they function perfectly and reliably.

    How do mechanical watches work? They either have a spring up to 2 meters long, which is wound manually, or a chain with the help of which weights have to be pulled up. In both cases, this involves special precision mechanics.

    Mechanical watches usually have deviations in their accuracy of 10 -20 seconds per day. However, since they are subject to temperature and weather differences, for eample, this is not a big surprise, but completely normal. However, it is possible to have the accuracy regulated by the watchmaker. However, with the long-term durability of a mechanical watch, you should think twice about whether you can settle for a minimal deviation. After all, mechanical watches are true gems.
