Ceramics - cultural history in its most beautiful form Ceramics

are a large number of materials with rough classification. These substances are inorganic, non-metallic in nature and are used in the refractory industry. These include earthenware and porcelain. In the past, ceramics were made from loess loam leaned with bone meal. Since the most famous eample, the Venus of Dolni Vestonice, is about 30,000 years old, pottery making is one of the oldest cultural techniques known to mankind.

After shaping, the blank must be dried. This is usually not accelerated to avoid cracking. As soon as the blank has reached the so-called firing maturity, the molding body is fired. In the process, the last volatile components such as water disappear. The temperatures reach up to 1400 °C, but can be significantly higher for special ceramics.

The history of ceramic art, as already indicated, goes back a long way. The oldest pottery vessels made of ceramics, which are made of clay, come from the Japanese Jomon culture. They were made around 13,000 BC. From there, this technology became more and more widespread. Today, ceramics are used for a wide variety of items: dishes, roof tiles, stove tiles, bathtubs and much more.
