The values of Bauhaus

Bauhaus watches combine years of experience with the latest technology and quality from Germany. Shaped by a corporate philosophy that prefers unusual shapes and styles, appealing and creative designs were created. The founders of the Bauhaus series have been in the watch business since 1987 and have many years of experience. The experience gained speaks for itself: Since 1987, the company Pointtec and the family business behind it have already launched several watch series on the market.

The history of Bauhaus

The Bauhaus style originated in the art school founded by Walter Gropius in 1919. Defining for the period from 1919 to 1933, Bauhaus stands today as the avant-garde of classical modernism. The Bauhaus style is characterized by the basic idea of combining art and craftsmanship. Accordingly, the idea is to eliminate the distinction between art and craftsmanship and to highlight the efficiency and naturalness of a product. Embellishments, playfulness or romantic motifs, as they characterized the time before 1900, are inadmissible for the Bauhaus style.

watches in Bauhaus style

Influenced by the Bauhaus style, the Bauhaus watches are characterized by a minimalist design. On closer inspection, they shine with numerous designs such as the two-tone hands, the date display and optionally the day of the week. The watches are equipped with a quartz movement and are water-resistant to 5 bar. This corresponds to about 50 meters. The strap material is made of leather. The glass of the watch is made of mineral glass K1 safety glass. Compared to plastic lenses, mineral glasses are harder, particularly scratch-resistant and neither osmotic nor is there a risk of yellowing.
