The Take a Shot watch brand places a special emphasis on naturalness. The founders of TAS got their inspiration from numerous experiences abroad. A beautiful mix of natural materials distinguishes this brand. Wood, marble and slate are building elements and program in the watches of Take A Shot or simply TAS for short. All wristwatches carry a reliable Japanese quartz movement inside. The strap of the watches is made of either leather or vegan mesh and can be easily replaced thanks to a pin clasp.

From vision to goal

The Take a Shot brand was founded in 2012 as a student label in Leipzig. During a semester abroad, Matze, who was still a student at the time, came up with the idea of creating something of his own and getting it off the ground. He got his first inspiration from the wooden sunglasses of the time. Together with his college friend Hannes, they developed the first sunglasses with wooden temples. Today, in addition to the wooden sunglasses, the company manufactures eyeglasses, watches and iPhone cases. With all products, the founders always keep their philosophy clearly in mind, the special mix of natural materials. In particular, wood is present in almost every watch. The founders attach particular importance to this element and only use cherry wood, oak wood and walnut wood as materials.

The current state of play

In addition to online sales, the founders of Tas are represented at various festivals, trade fairs and various events in German-speaking countries. There, visitors have the unique opportunity to see and wear the products live, but also to ask the team questions.
