Function Jacob Jensen is a Danish industrial designer who gained international fame through his collaboration with Bang and Olufsen. Born in 1926 near Copenhagen, the young Jacob Jensen came into contact with design and interior design as an upholsterer shortly after dropping out of school. From 1948 onwards, he was able to further develop his original talent at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, where he was admitted to the Faculty of Furniture Design.

In 1958, Jacob Jensen founded his own design studio with eight employees under the name ÂJacob Jensen Designâ. Half a century later, Jensen looks back on a life's work of over 500 product designs in a wide variety of categories. These include etraordinary designs for scales, kitchens, furniture, glasses, telephones, radios and, last but not least, very epressive watch series, which further epanded the international popularity of the brand.
